Sim Brothel Project
I've been visiting this site (and about three others that have been posted here) in hopes that I would see some progress somewhere. As far as I can tell, there really hasn't been any. So of course I'm trying my hand at yet ANOTHER version of it. What I'm basically doing is going back to the old Sim Brothel and trying to make a closer version than any of the offshoots (in fact, I hope version 1 to be little more than a simple rewrite and cleanup of the original Sim Brothel game, made in C#).
It's not done. Not by a long shot. I'm looking at about two months before version 1 is anywhere near complete. I doubt it will take that long, but I want to give myself a lot of leeway as this cannot and will not be my life. I've given up on finding a community to join to find help with it or one to join in order to help them with their version (I wouldn't know how to direct / be a part of a project anyways) so consider this a poll.
Here's the deal. If I go through with this, I want to know that there will be people waiting for it. People willing to test it and break it. People that will give honest feedback. Most importantly, though, I want people that will help me see it through to subsequent versions. I have these grandiose plans for future versions of it, but I know, from looking at this forum and others similar to it, that people lose interest in games fast. When people are asked to play the slightly different versions of a game over and over with minor differences between the versions, people lose interest that much faster. How many hands has this project been passed to? How many dropped off the planet when they stopped caring? I understand if you were or are in one of these categories. I just want to know who would be willing to give it another go.
If you're willing to wait, and willing to help test, even though the first go-round will basically be a copycat of the original, post a comment here. I'll check back. If no one responds, well, I suppose that's my answer and won't continue. If enough people respond, maybe I'll start yet another forum, or see if I can get on with this one. Maybe a dev blog. Whatever happens, though, comes down to whether people are interested or not. Eventually I'll need help and look for people willing to add their skills to that, but for the most part, I'm just looking for potential testers and players.
What do you say? Are you in?

I can definitely test it, I spend most of my time running through the newer versions of slavemaker and poking at the sections where misspellings have been made or patches were added

Build an audience, blog about your progress daily or weekly. Lack of communication from the top kills communities.I want to know that there will be people waiting for it.

I can help on the coding end, I would prefer if it was java, if only because it's crossplatform but I suppose I could use the practice in C#.
Where will the code be hosted at.

Re: Sim Brothel Project
Well, i've been lurking this forum for awhile, waiting and hoping for any new development on the game and found extremely slow progress on it.
So I made a account and joined.
Read the opening post and i'm willing to help out in any way I can.
I have no experience with coding but I have been a moderator of a major private MMORPG forum, can create forums and i'm also creative with writing stories. I'll post below my story for you to read and see if i'm good for a creative job.
I suppose all I can help out with would be testing and creative but otherwise, i'm in and willing to help out.
My story; based on Final Fantasy X-2 (ero) http://ff.adultfanfiction.net/story.php?no=600080446 (Ranked #1 story in it's section) (Sorry for the little advertising but just showing my creative abilities lol)

I would be willing to test any versions of this game, been a fan since the first simbrothel. Could even help you with finding/editing pics and sound if needed.
