before i start,i must say that i'm not so good with english so pardon me the many mistakes that will be XD

i worked over a restilish of the first SimBrothel so continue to use the same profile for the girls (same stats + 1 or 2 "passive" original abilities for each girl). because we don't know how was the calculating of the price of the girls i made an easy equation that use all the stats that for me are important for their work so:
(MULTIPLIER of the rank of the girl)*(bonus satisfaction)*(base price of the selected girl)+0.20*(statistic of charisma+sex+bj)+0,33*(refinement)
and the same problem for her management so:
(MULTIPLIER of rank)*(base price)*0.4

about the MULTIPLIER, the idea was give 1x, 1,5x, 2x, 3x, 3,5x, 4x, 5x for the seven ranks of the game ((instead of Cool,the REQUIREMENTS have to been remade...

next step is what and when occurs if a girl refuse to work:
with an obedience (from now i will write OB for this stat) lower of 30% she will refuse to work with 75% of probability,if it occurs she may lose 1 OB (33%) or 2 OB (5%)
with 31with 46with 60with 78with 82with 91from 98 of OB she will refuse with 1% of probability

next: JOY and the possibility to run away
joy may changed -2 if the girl refuses to work
+1 working
+3 not working at all for the day
+5 making a ceremony
-1 in the bondage school
-6 when she has an accident
+2 to all girls when arrive postcard
and the girl will try to run away (and you will lose her forever) with the probability of 10% every turn if the joy is under 20%.in addition the probability will grow each turn after the first of 2% until she run away or you make her happy again

now the augment of the traits with the work (except reputation it will grow in dependence of the other stats)
charisma will grow with a probability of 11% of 1 if the girl's stat is lower of 40 and it had 4% of grow of 1 point if charisma is 40 or higher
same idea for sex stat and bj
but they grow of 2 points (29%) if the stats are 60 or lower or 1 point (53%) [remember that in the 18% of cases the girls will not have growing]
if the stats are higher of 60,they could grow 2 points for 14% and 1 point for 39% , [57% nogrowing]
REMEMBER:the 2 stats (sex and bj) must have separate number and the growing of 1 stat of 2 points doesn't mean that also the other stat will grow in the same way

libido will grow randomly (a number between 1-7) each day that the girls have sex and decrease of 5 every 2 days that she haven't


other step customers' satisfaction level,bonus&reputation
this new add will be displayed in the page of events (where will be displayed also the pics,the growing of stats,gold earned ecc. ecc.)
it has 4 grade that depend from (stat of charisma+sex+bj+refinement+joy)/5 +(work bar bonus [explained after])

if the number is between 90-100 the service is excellent and will make grow of 2 points the reputation of the gal and give the satisfaction's bonus that is 2
if the number is between 60-89 the service is good and will provide 1 point of reputation and the bonus will be 1,30
if the number is between 30-59 the service is standard,it will give to the girl 1 reputation's point in the 50% of the cases,the bonus is 1
if you are under the service is bad,the girl could lose 1 point of reputation with a probability of 50%,the bonus is 0,85


now the question is clear:WHAT THE HELL IS WORK BAR????????
it could be a nice introduction...this new feature make you choice how many customers your girls will see
it will have 4 choice:
light: the girl will work with 1 customer,it will give +2 for the work bar bonus, for each customer she will lose 8 of health and will regen 4 health+1% of the girl's constitution (rounded up)
standard: the girl will work with 2 customers,it will give +1 for the work bar bonus, for each customer she will lose 9 of health and will regen 5 health+1% of the girl's constitution (rounded up)
hard: the girl will work with 3 (max) customers,it will give +0 for the work bar bonus, for each customer she will lose 10 of health and will regen 5 health+1% of the girl's constitution (rounded up)
no tomorrow: the girl will work with the max+1 customers,it will give -2 for the work bar bonus, for each customer she will lose 7 of health and will regen 1% of the girl's constitution (rounded up) of the health


a girl will be automatically be sick if her health drop under 7%
if she has between 8-20% of health she had a proba bility of become sick of 30%
in other case the probability is set at 8%

the exp gained every day from a worker is a number random 8-11*customers*rank of the girl

each girl will attract in any case every day 1 customer if she is ion duty

the other job that the girls would make is attendant: this job give to your girls experience halved and no stats grow but give you the possibility to make work the girls also if you have no room free for make "the other job" ( =prostitute ) and their work will help your other girls with customers giving to each girl +1 in the number of the satisfaction level for each attendant in the brothel and reducing the possibility of bad events to your girls/structures (still to be defined)

I think it'll look pretty good from what i've read.
But will it be a new version of the game or an improved version of the old one ?
And will you ad more thing to it, like a story, some kind of quests maybe, and a possibility to create other girls ?

my idea is to restyle the old one (from 0 because we don't know the old script of the first) with improvments,probably a lore not a real story,too many caraterization of the game will go against the tradition (and probably some gamer flavor)
quests, yes i must still think about quests/events/random events/*surprise*
and think how put them in (the problem is to don't make the game umbalanced) so if you expect great bonus NO,maybe time buff/little price of gold
i will follow the idea of OverHao for the construction fo the city with market,inn,exotic market and something more (now i figure that some quest are better there [girls])
but one thing i won't accept in any case POSSIBILITY OF ADD GIRLS FROM THE USERS.it isn't because i will block them from have their favourite girl in the game,but i won't that a great project like this fells in a thing like SIBR1x MOD with pornostar.
then,because Xela will be the prgrammer,he would choose if follow my ideas or abort them...
in any case if Xela will do a beta and it would be pleasureful, i will open a new topic for bugs and an other were EACH PLAYER will ask the ADD OF ONE CHARACTER (ONLY ONE), that miss and he/she would in the game.NO EXCEPTION
so in the patch/new version all gamer will enjoy with their girls (and probably Alex Louis Amstrong XD XD )

Also to answer previous question, it will be a new game, I don't know how to even try adding anything on the old version since I am not a professional programmer.

i must remember that in the first simbro there weren't traits (i will add them from now for customize the girls on the base of their real personality)

i will give all the info that i can obtain from the old one and the new codification of the things that miss we will restore also the ability (with some changes) but probably you will read it tomorrow (YES I LOVE THE WORLD PROBABLY)

Ok, I've doubled back about your posts:

1) Basically we are remaking original SimBrothel with a couple new features. I like that idea since for me this is a fun project to figure out if I can actually code Smile

2) Are you sure about not allowing people to add girls? I always believed in allowing as much moddability as possible. If someone wants to make a Pornstar version, god bless.

But it may be a lot of works with what you have to do already :/

And Terashi's idea of everyone selecting only one girl to put in the game is kinda hard for the people (like me for example Rolling Eyes ) that are pretty indecisive with their choices.
Maybe it's preferable to do a list before ^^

so the ranks,original one had 8 ranks and they are goood (for balance the game)
1 rank starting rank, moultiplier to the gold earned: x1
2 rank need 20 reputation and at least 30 Charisma, moultiplier to the gold earned:x1.25
3 rank need 30 REP and at least 40 CHAR, moultiplier to the gold earned:1,75
4 rank need 45 REP and at least 55 CHAR, moultiplier to the gold earned:2,5
5 rank need 60 REP and at least 65 CHAR, moultiplier to the gold earned:3
6 rank need 70 REP and at least 75 CHAR, moultiplier to the gold earned:3,5
7 rank need 80 REP and at least 85 CHAR, moultiplier to the gold earned:4
8 rank need 90 REP and at least 90 CHAR, moultiplier to the gold earned:5
NOTE: rank makes cap to the earn of reputation
ie:a girl rank1 could have 20 REP and 89 CHAR but not the viceversa...

the stats of a girl are:
CHARisma (CHAR)
CONSTitution (CONST)
CHARACTER (it is the opposite of OBbedience so choose you what is best)
(here i would add the own girl's trait)
REPutation (REP)
JOY
FUCK (we could substitute to sex)
BLOWJOB
LIBIDO
HEALTH
REFinement (REF)

a thing that i forgot is that:the girls will gain ability point to spend in a section (it won't be a tree like simbr1x,and you can activate and de-activate this abilities),they will gain 1 point for every customers but the probability is 4% (i'm not sure if it is too low or too high need to test,first idea was 3%)
for the ability i thought to remanage the old abilities so:
-rest:25% recover health instead 20% cost 1 point (if the girl don't work for 15 day she had 21% of probability to gain this ability)
-beautifull body:on the equation of the gold earned +(base price of the selected girl)/2 of gold bonus,cost 1 point (no way to obtain if the girl hasn't this trait she can't gain it Laughing )
-artist:+1 customer for the building,cost 3 points (no way to obtain)
-smart: double the exp gained,cost 6 points (no way to obtain)
-lolita: the girl has 8% of possibility to gain 1 point in CHAR,cost 2 points (no way to obtain)
-strong: the girl has 8% of possibility to gain 1 point in COST,cost 2 points (need 9 day to dance school,21%)
-though: the girl has 90% of possibility to gain 1 point in COST,cost 4 points (need 20 day to dance school 27%)
-big breast: +2 customer for the building (only if the girl work as a prostitute),cost 4 points (NO NO NO WAY TO OBTAIN)
-obbedient:-10% to "refuse to work" probability, cost 10 (?) points (need to be rank 4 for some girls [need to choose from a list],for the other need rank 5,sometimes the girls can't have this ability)
-exibitionist: +4 REP if she work as a prostitute, cost 16 (need to be rank 6 at least)
-maid: reduce to 1/4 the possibility of bad things to the building and its girls if the girl work as an attendant it his halved,cost 6 points (need OB higher 80 [character less than 20] and work for 25 day as attendent 21%)
-ninphomaniac: +5 libido each day,cost 14 points (need to be 5 rank and the girl must have sex stat and bj sta over 78,the probability is setted at 56%)
-expert: +1 point to both sex and bj stat every day,cost 15 points (need rank 6 no way to obtain[for now])
-lucky: set cap to bad event over her at 9%,cost 7 poinst (no way to obtain)

i can't remember other (i added 1) if i will do it i will post it or edit this post



the personal traits....ehmm i will add one diferent to each girl but i need to have a list of girl to make it balanced...(for the girls we must talk a bit, Xela)
in any case the traits will buff capacity of the girl or they may give to them some malus


events....so hard to make this part btw, i would set at 5% the probability that each customer could hurt the girl,that will lose 5 CHAR,CONST,JOY,HEALTH
every day the buildings can be damaged from random events (7%)
and each week could come the postman (trigger joy event) with a probability of 13%
and from day 17 could start a quest (29%) OR a girl could come to sell herself (27%)


we can use the old interface ( here is the game online http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/494398) plus the button THE CITY instead "buy girl,buy equipment,buy bilding"
if you click over THE CITY it will change the window (i don't like if it opena new window) [immage of a manga's city over the sea where some buildings have name over/under] where you will select the buildings (i will continue later)

I think this is about it. What do we add? What do we change? What do we get rid of?

i will a solid base before give to the users the possibility of make MOD...a big flower can drain his life in a day instead of grow to the perfect armony...

for the changes of the girls stats...it's ok but i don't trust so much on have 5 kind of stats...yes there is a difference but i will point to you that is always sex so you can raise to 4 the stats (giving anal&lesbo) but in that case you must create a variable for female customrs,that don't count as male,it can't be one every x customers because it will be too repetetive...and it will be too hard create a rule for this problem (same for gangbang).
so i suggest to raise only at 3 stats (for the moment,than we can improve this part) this stats will be fuck,blowjob,anal (same rules of fuck for anal)

in the first game weren't traits,in the second there were but i would change it in a unique personal trait of the girl and restore the old abilities (like i write in my last post)

if you will i can replay all the simbrothel 1 checking all jokers and missions,missions bonus and the second simbrothel for the girls

ah about the weapon and the magic...WAIT DON'T RUN...there is time to improve also this aspect,now give a base to the game.

it is not only one girl,it is one plus the other 154 (if i m not wrong) girls of the standard simbrothel...in any case after the creation of the game in a stable version for me it is ok giving free access to adding (girls and other stuff) from the players...but at start i wouldn't exagerate so the project could grow regularly

btw in the city windows will appear 5 accessible place:inn,market,exotic market,house sale and shop

in the first we may have some events like find a girl for hire,a special mission (buff like a weekly joker),smuggler

in the second we could buy girls

the third is always a market but you must pay to enter each time plus a big tax for enter the first time here you can hire better girl (not because they are really better but because their stats are over the normal)

for buy stuff where do you go?to the shop! easy no? XD

same for house sales


if for you it is ok (the last 3 post)...answer me Xela (i talk with you because you are the one who will give life to this work,sorry to the other), i'll make rules for the inn and start to check jokers and girls...

i will be on from 9am of -1UTC to boh XD XD

I'll try to to extract .swf and take a look at the original code. If that works, it will save us some time figuring out what jokers and Abilities there are...

Not going to code anything tonight, just going to try and make some sort of a plan on how to approach this...

Sothink decompiler hangs when I try to convert so I could only extract pictures and texts... never mind, I am to tired today anyway.

I think this is what the plan will look like:

1) Create framework for the project and girl + brothel classes.

Should be doable in one week. (I hope)

2) Adapt code that can extract girl info from .ini/.xml and automatically assign pictures to respective categories and parse all of that into girl class.

1 - 2 weeks

3) Create an interface for:

- Intro
- Main screen
- Girl screen
- Building screen
- City Screen
- Save/Load screen
- Options

No Idea how long this will take, there are to many interactive and display elements to consider.

4) Create mechanics that will govern 'New Day'. Can be done as a Game class or as a function, I cannot tell what will work better right now...

1 - 2 weeks.

5) Add dialogues, events, flags and texts, maybe a Client class if we decide that we need one.

1 - 2 weeks of coding, unknown time-frame for texts, dialogues and event design.

6) Create a number of girls for the release, I will create a couple for testing purposes during step 4)

No idea, depends on how many people working on this, I managed to extract all of the pics from original SimBro but there are better pics available these days...

7) Debug and test.

1 - 2 weeks.

ok men i have good news and bad news:
the goods are that i had probably all weeckly jokers,found a new ability and see a cap customer
the bad one is that i can't give you all the the reward mission joker and i discovered that missions change if you complete the tasks and how many task you do....great job the first game...so f****ing complex

btw weeckly joker are:
300xp or 100 gold (the first is always this)
+5 const or 100 gold
+5 char or 100 gold
15 libido or 50 gold
less girl will refuse to work for 7 day or 100 gold
double sex stat gain for 7 day or 100 gold
no sickness for 7 days or 100 gold
max customers for 7 day or 150 gold
all girls' health set back to 100 or 150 gold

abilty:
shy: as lolita but for REFINEMENT

missions:
first :
-have 400 gold
-have 2 girls
-have a girl rank 2
-have the small house
reward:300 gold/a girl/no pay to go in slave market/1000 gold/5 ability points to all girl (other but i don't remember wich because i always take the girl XD )

other mission have 3 girls rank 3
have 6 girls rank 4 (if miss the 3 girls mission)
have 9 girls rank 4 (if miss the 6 girl)
have the big house
have 1235 gold
have 10 girls
have 10 girls rank 6
have the palace
have 8 girls rank 5
have a bar/garden/strip room/slot room
other (i can't unlock them)

from rank 4 the girls have 40% to work in theatral companies and gain 1/2 of their price as gold bonus

there is a cap for customers that girls can have: under 25 constitution they can work only with 1 customers,between 26 and 50 2 customers,
over 50 3 customers...

i ran the game without doing any action,only skipping the day...
missions were all failed and they were
-have 2 girls
-have 2 girls
-have 2 girls rank2
-have the small house
-have 2 girls rank2
-have 2 girls rank2
-have 2 girls rank2
-have -4883 gold (from 5008)
-have -5633 (from 5758)
-have 2 girls rank2

probably the difficult of missions grows with the number of mission you do...in fact at end game the score is given as rank,and the game said me that for been in the next rank i need complete 5/9 missions
probably you recive a random mission from a difficult's pool,that change if you complete a certain number of missions

btw Xela do you want that i prepare the quest (over the missions)?you can obtain randomly if you do something in particula...(my idea was in the inn and sometimes in the girls screen) what about?

we know that the mission are always every 30 days,right?
what about to put some quest that could appear randomly out of the 30 days?
