Another Game ...

Just a short concept:

The main idea is the management of characters. Those must be acquired, kept, used and eventually dismissed. Some characters should be a pain to keep so selling them
should be interesting.

To make the game interesting i intended to support the use of "GPACs" from other games. Also i will add support for futa, yaoi and whatever in time.

The user will be able to use characters for the following:

In a Brothel in several positions

In training: as a Slave or with a certain purpose (imagine a quest to turn a character in a Lesbian) ...
In Prison (Monsters and Heroines people doesnt want around ...)
In pit fights / arenas
As a party member in a dungeon/ruin run. This could be method to capture new slaves or gain items.
As mercenaries
As trainers
As security

Race, Gender and Sexuality

In general this is what i imagine how each stat will work:

talent: For combat training
strength, magic, dexterity: combat stats

lust: For sexual training
blowjob, fuck, anal, lesbian, gangbang: sexual stats

confidence: how easy charisma improves
charisma: client attraction, ...

healthy: how easy constitution changes
constitution: Health pool, max client per day, ...

optimistic: how easy happiness change
happiness: run away chance, suicide chance ...

discipline: how easy refinement chance
refinement: (...)

submission: How easy obedience change
obedience: Following orders ...

Reputations: to allow access to items, events, clients, quests ...

Well, a concept is a lot like what I was planning for my next game but I don't have the skill to code it that complex now or at least I don't think that I do.

Well... the trouble is that a project like this tends to get out of hand pretty quickly and even programmers that I would consider VERY Good/Great at their job tend to corner themselves with their own code. Code for this type of project will get very messy fairly quickly and adding new stuff will get increasingly harder.

That counts double if you do not have a solid concept of a final version laid out on paper.

I like the basic format your going for... unless your going for something completely different to this in future updates Razz
Looks good, I hope you can pull this off since the other games haven't really lived up to full potential yet (they have been pretty good though "nothin" and "sibr1x" etc).

why shouldnt u be able to post links?
u can just post the full link: www.mediafire.com/?d4agbp88dx1wykw
or by using the bbcode url=link]text[/url] (with a [ infront of the first url of course... i didnt so u can see the bbcode otherwise it wouldnt be visable but be used as a bbcode)

Odd that you can just post links without adfly... That usually kills all the fun on this forum.

As for posting updates, I love to see how game is being developed, there is no definitely no harm in posting updates on dev version.

Today i ve started planning how i would implement girl actions (work, train, ...)

There is a good chance that those actions could be "scriptable". That means users could be able to create custom actions using XML something like:

It is both worth and not worth it... So many developers left cause their projects got to complicated and took to long to develop...

In any case, this is what I think:

It is only worth doing if you are planning to make the following 'scriptable':

1) Name/Location of a job.
2) Corresponding picture type and default picture type if corresponding doesn't exist.
3) Texts and events that describe and enrich job.
4) Traits that can be gained/removed by preforming the job and traits that effect the job + effects themselves (Like let's say Meek/Shy trait will have a diminishing effect on Advertisement/Stripping job)
5) Logic that removes/adds traits, logic that effects the girls stats when preforming jobs.
6) Logic that governs effects from events while preforming the job.

Also all of that would have to be understandable to a rookie and well documented so modders can do something with your game without having to ask half a million questions. So if you are planning to allow advanced modding like that, sure, it is worth it but take into consideration the insane amount of time it would take to make it all work...

Just adding actions is not likely to improve the game unless all/some of the above accompanies the action.

2) That is easy too. To make it even easier i would have to change my classes a bit.
3) That is more complex ... There isnt events or dialogues yet ...
4) That is food for thought.
5) That can be done.
6) Deeply related with events in general. I want to add in game events for quests and to make the game different every time. I dont see any reasons why job events should differ from those (just the trigger is more specific).

Instead of working with actions now i will start traits and events ...

Well, it's your call. Allowing modders create custom jobs is cool and may result in a great amount of mods and packs but it is also very, very complex. You also will have to make an interface that can be customized from XML to enable new actions/events.

My coding skills are nowhere near where they have to be to try all of that but your 10 years of past experience can really help you out.

After roughly an year (a busy one) i can continue the development of this game ... :-)

I am probably going to do it from the scratch again but it will be running (more like walking ...).

More versions is always welcome but do you know that there is another Java version in really rapid development at the moment? Coder is accepting any help (who wouldn't Smile) so maybe you do not have to start from scratch?
